In early 2009 I got bit by the archery bug when I had a chance encounter with a beautiful longbow. I guess you could trace it back even further than that. Every guy (maybe some girls) has gone into the woods, cut down a sapling and made themselves a bow. At that time it was probably just to shoot your friend in the rear. Little did you know that years later, that would be your first attempt at a wooden longbow

At any rate, 2009 marked my first year as a longbow bowhunter and I drew tickets for just about everything. This year I would really like to take an elk and a moose with my longbow.

I’ve spent most of the year learning longbow shooting and appreciating the instinctive style that those before us used.
